In recent years, Mikey O’Shaughnessy has fully committed himself to pushing the limits in the realm of Big Wave surfing. Transplanting himself from the Big Island to the North Shore, he has made it a point to put forth his best foot on behalf of his community and always extends out his hand for those that need it.

In his latest clip, Something Better Mikey O’Shaughnessy offers positivity in the wake of losing someone very dear to him which was a recent impact to the surfing community. 300 million people worldwide suffer from depression.

It is something that affects everyone at some point in their life, whether it be personal or through the experiences of a loved one. In difficult times, it is important to be surrounded by the empowerment of your community and to always remember that we are all in this together.

Embark on this journey from Hawaii to Puerto Escondido, as Mikey shows us first hand through his surfing, that life is worth living. If you think this story has the power to help you or a loved one, please share with the hashtag #lifeisworthliving
